My guess is that it's not really Walmart emailing you, just a scammer. If I were you, I would change your email's password right away.

Wal-Mart is not sending you these e-mails. It's most likely a promotion company offering 'free' gift card or merchandise from participating retailers. Usually to get this 'free' item you must sign up for credit cards or music/movie clubs and remain active for a certain period of time before you'll get the 'free' gift.

I'd stay away from these sites. Especially those that claim you won the free gift or the item is a prize. If you won an item, you don't have to buy anything before you get it.

Because it's spam/adware/etc. Click these links, and they can get alot of information about you. It is NOT WALMART. It's someone/a company saying they're walmart.

It's probably not actually walmart.

Instead, it's probably a scam, or just garbage.
