There are so many comments on men do this and men do that. I want to ask what is it w/women and CONTROL of the kitchen. Man, I want make some cookies w/ the kids and I left your a little flour out. I want to make breakfest for our family in the morning and I get I don't clean up just so exact. Women are kinda controlling when it comes to the kitchen and washing dishes. I mean they have got to be spot on when your doing those things. I think women need to lighten up w/ the help. What do you say. And I'm not whining, no I don't want any cheese. I love the dickens out of my women. It's just livin with 'em that is a pain.

That is a good point on the garage. I don't her messing around. You women put up with alot with us guys. We appreciate the cookin and cleanin y'all do. I think I'll tell my wife that tonight.

Ok, it's nice of you to want to bake with the kids. But you should have some respect for her, when she cooks she cleans up right? And when YOU cook SHE cleans up right??
Come on, give her a break. She's probably constantly cleaning up after everyone, and feels like a maid half the time. I get annoyed with my husband b/c of this, I cook, I clean, he cooks, I clean. It's not fair. He is getting better though, because I spoke to him about it. Maybe she's just not saying the real reason, and getting annoyed at little things. But you can't fix it unless you know what's bugging her. So ask her. It shows you care.
What if she went into the garage and left out all your tools and you couldn't find them when you needed it? Would you get annoyed with her? Probably.

Its nice that you get in the kitchen I would like someone to cook with. But ya, alot of women are picky about there here and there and dont leave that and you better put that away and omg! there is a spill there. I guess women can be kinda controlling about the kitchen because its where we spend most of our time. And then cleaning it can be a hassle and get a little frustrated after spending alot of time cooking in it and cleaning it up afterwards everyones mess and when its nice another mess. I think thats where the irritation comes from. I cook for my husband all the time. He gets in the kitchen every now and then and boy does he make a mess!! I dont expect him to be perfect but I just tell him that ill clean it up and he doesnt mind because he made breakfast for helped with dinner. I dont think you are whining i think its a good question. Its true what you say...alot of women have these questions about men and men can be controlling in other areas. Not all men are that way and not all women. But I hope ive helped you to understand a little about why that may happen. Good luck:)

If I do most of the cooking & cleaning of the Kitchen I expect it to be the same way most of the time ... if I cleaned your truck or changed your oil .. you would want me to do it the way you like it or the way it's suppose to be ... right ... why not learn what her pet peves are and stay one step ahead of her ... and yes we should all lighten up about the help ... it takes me a lot to hold back - yes it looks good but you didn't move the chairs when you swept ... so I guess it's a battle that will go on forever ... lol ... !

Oh, it just depends on the woman. A mature woman and loving wife would love that you are doing things in the kitchen, and would be happy that you even tried to clean things up. Once I was married, I had to let go of my "control" and let hubby do things his way.
You really do need to think of this in other terms. I do NOT go to my husband's workshop and mess around. I won't even go look for something there - I wait and ask him to get something for me. His domain, his rules.
However, a kitchen is used by everyone in the home.
Hopefully your wife will learn it's not such a big deal to have you in the kitchen...

The kitchen is the heart of the home. When friends come over, I get the roomy den all clean and sparkly, but we always wind up in my tiny kitchen, eating, drinking, and joking around. I don't think it's a control thing; it's the comfort room.

I love it when my boyfriend cooks either for me or with me. I know I can be kind of controlling in the kitchen but it helps when there is only one chef in the kitchen and the rest are assitants. Depending on the size of the kitchen, sometimes it is in your best intrest for it to stay clean so that you have more room to do things.

Think about how you would feel if your wife went out to the garage to change the oil an tune up the car. Or if she started a home improvement project without you and with your tools. It's a territorial thing. Suck it up.

Count your blessings!! There are a lot of men out there who would be happy to have their wives just cook them dinner!!! I do all the cooking in my house, but I would be happy giving some of that to my husband - I would even clean up after him, as long as he made dinner once in a while!!

Im picky, but im not going to tell my husband that. I let him do what he wants in the kitchen, if he leaves something out or what ever, i sneak when he is in the shower and put it away or wipe the counter. No biggie. Im grateful he does what he does, so im not going to nag him
