I think its a GREAT IDEA!! That way it'll stop teams from purposely losing to get a great shot at the #1 pick. Let's do it NBA!!

I still think its the best idea! It would stop teams from purposely losing. Also I would like to see a dynasty again instead of these one and done championships and 2 out of 3, 3 in the last 7 years.

No, I don't like that idea.

If that is the case, then the teams that go into the finals every year might get the 1st pick and 2nd pick. That will create such an imbalance between the best teams and worst teams.

Think about it, what if Dallas or Spurs win the championship and they get to pick Greg Oden or Durant the following summer?

What if they win again and they get the top 3 picks the following season?

The reason the NBA is doing this lottery thing is to make the teams more competitive.

However, I do suggest a system where a team can only get the top 5 picks every 10 years.

That means that if you had a first pick last year, and you won a lottery again this year, you're draft#1-5 would be defaulted to #6.....until the 10th year expires.

With that in mind, bad management will never pull moves like trading Shaquille O'neal after selecting him #1, and trading him with hopes of selecting Dwight Howard #1. Whereas, if they are forced to wait 10 years, they'll make much wiser decisions

Purposely losing doesn't work. It's a 12 team lottery the worst team hasn't got the first pick in 5 out of the last 7 years.

I think to make an attempt to protect competitive balance, you still need to give teams which don't make the playoffs the chance for a high draft pick. Now, if he wants the Rockets to get a high pick, he could simply trade one of the spare parts with a team that makes the lottery. I am sure there's a stupuid GM or two with a lottery team that would hand over a lottery pick to the Rockets. That's probably how those teams made the lottery.

Last night time wasn't Stans best teaching second, however he is performed a good process with giant guys over his profession. He did not relatively have a hazard in Miami. It used to be generally recognized earlier than the season even began that Riley used to be going to take over the top teach role someday for the duration of the season. A lame duck head teach does not have a lot of a hazard within the NBA. Why might Shaq pay attention to Van Gundy while every body is aware of he's going to be long past in a few weeks?

Bad idea because then you will never have equal competition in the league look at San Antonio they got better when they stole the lottery pick from Boston and got Tim Duncan and the Bull Have gotten better with the lottery but you know how it is because you can get a good player out of the lottery because Norwitsky was pick 13 in the firsts round and Jordan was pick third so its just luck.

Championship teams should not have a shot at the #1 draft pick.

I don't think so because the teams don't need the top picks if they had make the playoff. Only the worst teams who has missed the playoff as has the rights to pick in top 10. Same as NFL, MLB, and NHL. All four professional leagues only allows worst teams to pick up in top 10. The playoff teams are rank last if don't need the top 10 players.

That's a great idea. That way, teams would have to play the whole season, rather then give up at the all-star break, like most do.

You don't want a top team to get first draft pick. Giving bottom teams the first pick keeps the league more competetive.
