It is perfectly ok. I have actually heard that it feels better. Like everyone has said, it can be messy. If you use a towel, or do it in the shower, it isn't so bad. I think usually men are more worried about it than the women.

As a guy I have no problem having sex with my wife on her period, she seems to be even more sensitive, and she is even hornier than usual. We prefer the shower, but any bleeding usually stops within the first few minutes.
So go for it

I read somewhere recently that you are at more risk for infection if you have intercourse while you are on your period. The article said something about the cervix being open to let the lining out. I would just be careful -- other than that I know of no reason to not.

It's perfectly fine and normal. Orgasm will actually help with your cramps and will make your uterus contract and push blood out faster (maybe making for a shorter period).

Yes this is fine. Orgasm can help with cramps. A tampon helps for masturbation with your period if you stimulate your clitoris and for sex you just use lots of towels underneath you .

Yeah, it's ok... It's just gross! I mean, think about it! Icky! My husband always wants to try, but the thought of it really turns me off. We just let the "tension" build, and then have crazy sex when my period ends. I guess if you've got a tampon in, "self servicing" is ok. Still kinda gross, but ok.
