No. Before contacting a talent agency, do your homework. Ask your acting teacher or actor friends, if they are familiar with the Agency.

Also, call the Department of Labor (there may be a website by state), in your state, and ask if they have any feedback on the agency you are inquiring about.

They will tell you if it's a legitimate Talent Agency, licensed to represent performers in your city.

Try, "Have you ever been scammed by a talent agency?" And the word is "which," not "wich." Try learning some spelling and grammar before worrying about being scammed by of all things, a talent agency!

I have never been scammed by a talent agency. I was made aware, by my unions early in my career that any agency that requests fees is to be avoided. Any agency that refers people to an "acting coach" or "portfolio photographer" is to be avoided.

Look on the Screen Actors Guild or Actors Equity websites for 'franchised agents."
