they're not for gay guys and girls but people will laugh at you eventually but dont concern yourself with image. you are buying somethng with 2 wheels not a lifesyle (unless you're one of the poor saps who bought into the fake harley image) ride what you like

Unless you live on an island or by the beach you will probably get some looks. I also resent the fact that scooters are for girls I have a motorcycle and I'm a girl, you scooter riding dork. Heeheehee.

Scooters are for girls. Sorry, that's the way it is. Motorcycles are not for gays. It does not look right seeing two guys on a motorcycle. There is an exception if there is at least 9 inches of space between the two and the pillion holds the grabrails. This can only happen if the pillion recently crashed his own bike and his friend is taking him home or to the hospital. Sorry, I did not make the rules.
Gay guys do not belong on two wheels, maybe a pink bicycle is ok.

Myself and another very manly-type were considering flying to Florida, buying a couple of scooters, and riding back to Alaska. No girls involved (other than the occasional bar-fly hookup) and certainly no gay scenes.

~BTW~ That Honda Silver Wing should not be classed as a scooter, that is a motorcycle with integrated floorboards.

I would get one that has a sporty look on it. Don't get one that looks like it's for a chick. There's a guy on my street that has a couple of them, he had a really nice black one that looked like a black crotch rocket.
