DVD burners are not illegal. You need a burner/player so your computer will recognise what's on the DVD disk (the movie). You need DVD ripping software to get the information off the disk onto your HD (Mac The Ripper or PC version). Then you need software capable of compressing the movie and converting it to a format your Mp3 will accept. Standard DVDs are about 7.5 gigs off the disk. They compress to about 3.5 gigs. You better have plenty of space available.

u also need to understand that the amount of info on a dvd is so much more than a cd. copying a whole dvd to yr computer will require 100's of MB in space.

Take a hammer and hit the monitor as hard as you can while yelling the name of the DVD out loud.
