Since he has ability to play Murali best & Bangladeshi spinners too.unlucky that he got out before Murali comes..
But This is spiners Era.Ganguly used to play Shane Warne much beter than Sachin And Dravid.

Though they beat india They still had to give their best ever performance..When Robin Uthappa and Sourav Ganguly walked in, India had a target of just 255 runs, on a wicket which had dried and gone flatter. But nobody showed the determination to stay on, except Dravid. It was his flurry of fours off Malinga in one over that had raised the hopes of Indian fans just for a while.
Perhaps the turning point was Sachin’s getting out to Fernando, through the gate for a duck. That was a vital blow. India could not recover. The panic button was pressed. Whatever little chances India had went up in flames when Yuvraj was run out foolishly.
It is really worth analysing the difference between the two teams from the sub-continent. India’s strength was batting and given the proper conditions, their medium pacers and the spinners could be devastating. If not, their shoulders start drooping and the bowling goes haywire with all kind of experimentations. It could happen to the batting too.
Exactly opposite are Sri Lanka, except that their batting is as good if not better. We were the big brothers when they started. Now they are the elders. What an irony. They are better fielders for sure, and the bowlers bowl to the field under any circumstances unless it’s a completely off day for them.
Muralitharan is just outstanding. And most importantly, they play as a team and not as individuals. And that’s the thin line that differentiated the two teams. We saw absolutely no regional biases, despite all kinds of problems in their small country.
But they now have to beat only 3 teams to advance easyly to much awaited semi finals.

I think this is what Ganguly was waiting for.
He has taken revenge against the selectors who dropped him from captaincy and the team for quite some time.
Now, he would be able to say that when he was a captain, he took India to the World Cup Final and Dravid couldnt take team to Super 8.
This is why he had been getting good scores and when it was needed, he has failed.
All Cricketers played in the matched against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka(the same team, no changes) should be suspended from playing International Cricket for 1 year.
This will the greatest disgrace or humiliation for them.
After all, when a team requires you the most, you should be playing your best and no one did this.
Ganguly should not be next captain. We have a better Captain - Mohammad Kaif.

If we have to develop a team for the future , how can fading stars like Saurav and Sachin be made captain? There selection in the team itself is not guaranteed on their current form. They were all equally responsible for the debacle so all of them should be punished by dropping them.

I do not think that change of captaincy is called for. Even if another captain is appointed no miracle is going to happen unless players learn how to perform to their potential consistently and have the killer instincts.

He should be but as per power of pawar New team will be made and there might be no place for senior players .
My choice is Sourav
BCCI will choose either Mohd Kaif or Yuvraj as captain of Indian team

He was a good captain but his era has gone. All his trustworthies are out of weapons now...Sehwag killed his killer instincts...harbhajan, once a master spinner but now a worn out spanner...zaheer is effective but not incisive...bring in a new captain and form a new team not with talent, but with full of character

no more sachin,sehwag, ganguly and rahul.
India is country of 110 crore population, we can find 11 new faces?
