The cause is where it rains to hard for a number of days. The effect of it is where every thing is all muddy, and cause house damage. Death toll just depends on how much rain they got. These sites may help you to. Good luck!!!

when th ground become saturated with water and cannot hold any more the water sits on the top and builds(flash floods), or when a dam breaks. it will destroy property and possesions, and will usually kill many poeple. look on wikipedia ore the national oceanic survey
