I have a vauxhall corsa 1.4.It is 4yrs old and i have had it for almost 6 months with no problems. But just recently i have been experiencing some jumping/jolting.I can be driving at a steady, constant speed and it will suddenly jump. Also when stationary the engine judders, and is louder than normal,i have booked it into a garage but just wondered if anyone has experienced this and is it gonna cost me!

Hi!
does it splutter kinda thing & lose power too??
Yeah it's sounds like its missing..eg.running on 3 cylinders sometimes..could be something simple like spark plugs,or ht leads.. your timing might be out , or even crap in the petrol tank?? could be a small bit of water in the dizzy cap!

shouldn't be much at all to get fixed! ; )

PS.. it could be that bad petrol what was going about...

Sounds to me like you ignition coil is on the way out. Usual corsa problem. It'll cost bout £60 to put right.

i have come across this problem before and it has been a problem with the throttle body unit, i cant remember how much they are, i think they can only be bought at a vaux dealer. its a common problem with those newer versions of those engines.
