I am a military wife, it upsets me that people in the military still think a active duty woman shouldn't have children. I applaud you for the job you do both as a mother and in the military. ignore the idiots who make comment!!

It is absolutly alright. I was raised in a military family and wouldnt change it for anything. At least you are working and providing for your family, that is more then what alot of people can say. (I'm not saying stay at home moms are bad. If you can afford it more power to you, I am talking about people who are living off the government or other people.) As long as what you are doing is working for you and your family then do it and don't worry about what others say. They are probably jealous because they don't have families or they are not happy.

I have no military background, so i do not know the difficulties involved. If you fear deployment and the safety of your children are concerns, then maybe another vocation is needed. You are helping your(our) nation and that is an honorable vocation in itself. Your children should be proud of you. Are you married? single? I imagine you as a strong individual since you joined the military in the first place.
Stand tall and proud.

It's do-able, but it's much more difficult. You join the military, and they own you. My old roommate from college is a Marine, and she was deployed to Iraq as a single mother with a 3-year-old.
