No need to long for immortality, as we actually are immortal. If we die we just change the form of our existence.

Immortality sucks. Everything gets old after awhile. Yeah, you know how bored you are right now? Now imagine feeling that way about everything for all of time, that's immortality. Sure, every once in awhile there's something new that'll grab your interest. But if you'll live forever, you would have done it, mastered it, couldn't care less about it.

Besides, you'll be de-sensitized from a lot of emotions because you would have gone through all kinds of hurt over and over again. Life would be so empty. Think about it as... how do you fill a bottomless cup? You can't, and that's how it'll be like to be immortal.

No. That would suck. Now, eternal youth is another thing, but being immortal would be awful. How can you just keep getting older and older? It would get so boring being in this world that long and suffering too much. It reminds me of those hunched old immortals in Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. I want to live a long life, and die peacefully. Go on to a better place hopefully.

Ahhh dear friend there you are. Have you not yet realized we are all immortal? We just change form and move on with our existence. In order for me to show myself you must be where I have been. You will not understand until you have undergone the transformation like the rest of us. Just remember once it occurs the here and now will just melt away like the vapors of your breath as you cross the veil.

Depends. Obviously I don't want to see my family and friends die as I live on. But, I really want to see what the future holds out for us. I can only know what I can comprehend, so I don't know if I'll live eternally in an afterlife of some sort, or be reincarnated or maybe just die and that'll be the end. But, what I do know is the life I have is finite, so I need to enjoy it and make the best of it as much as I can.

I think all people are immortal in a way, because the things we do affect other people, and what those people do will affect other people, and so on and so forth. If we're kind to others, then other people will remember it, for example, Mother Theresa is remembered even though she has died.

I wouldn't want to live forever on earth you would always be losing those that you love the most. But I think it's important to leave are mark that we were here:) I do look forward to the beauty of heaven to live in eternity without the presence of evil........

I've been watching the old tv show Highlander and I don't think I'd like that life. Watching everyone around you grow old and die for hundreds or thousands of years?? I don't think I could take that much grief.

I would not want to live forever, even if I could stay young in body. I think I would quickly grow bored with life and end up killing myself anyway.
