It's an Urban Legend...The theory is that by having tampons that contain asbestos it will make you bleed harder and longer, thereby makiing you buy more tampons for a bigger profit for the tampon companies...More than likely started by teh PAD companies LOL.
Totally untrue don't worry.

Yeah back in the seventies. Tampons are now basically a cotton ball with a string. Some scented(your choice)
