I'd have to be Dickens, or someone of that ilk. An author who experiences both the very best life had to offer and the very worst.

I'd like to have been one of those soldiers in the trenches who jumped on a live grenade to save their pals. What heroes! Either that or I'd have been a grassy knoll or Hitler's chauffeur.

Mozart. Although he died young I would have loved to have had the genius to write his music. Must have been the ultimate job satisfaction! He also travelled around Europe and met many famous people of his day.

Catherine the Great or Elizabeth I.... simply because I would enjoy knowing that I had and used the power to change the world around me.
