Bush isn't a perfect Conservative. He is far too liberal, especially when it comes to open borders. As for the economy it is doing quite well at the moment.

We are headed for a train wreck though caused by the collision of the baby-boomers' retirement bill & the dwindling fossil fuels. The illusion passed on by the environmentalist of economically viable renewable energy doesn't take into account the cost of the capital costs of the infrastructure. The land it sits on is also ALWAYS zeroed out.

Your liberal representatives are very proud of the fact that by 2020 they have mandated that at least 20% of the sold energy comes from renewable resources. ALL they have guarrantied is that our fuel bill will skyrocket. When informed that their solution either guarrantied that the US would have to go to nuclear or price rise. I further emphasized that it was their lack of creativity that mandated it. To say Boxer & Feinstein were a little indignant would be an understatement.

I respectfully disagree with your assertion that America has never been in worse shape.

Quite to the contrary, in my personal experience.

My husband and I have both been promoted in our jobs, own our own home, save enough money to buy a car outright (no loan), put money aside for our daughter's education and our own retirement. We live in a great neighborhood that has maintained its home values, and has one of the best educational systems in the nation.

My industry, the hospitality industry, was terribly damaged after 9/11, but has rebounded wonderfully and has been in growth mode for the last number of years. My company has been able to build and purchase more new hotels than ever, and they are all doing well. Unemployment is down, the Dow is up, and I don't know what you think is so terrible.

Bush isn't a true conservative.

What does it mean? The liberal/conservative paradigm is a way to keep us divided and misled. We spend more time fighting than we do coming up with solutions.

The nightmare for America will be if this continues.

The "Dream Liberal" will only continue the nightmare.

Two heads of the same beast

Put down your crack pipe and get out of your parents basement and look around. The Bush economy is booming with an all time low unemployment rate. Highest percentage of homeownership in the history of the country. No terrorist attacks on US soil since 9-11.

Your drug use is affecting your ability to see the truth.

"Perfect Conservative" ? No. And I would also like to say that apparently you didn't learn about the great depression. From what I understand it was much worse then. How could anyone expect you to know that since you know nothing of history. Must have gone to public school.

I agree with you--except that Bush is NOT a real conservative. He is part of a false conservativism--the radical right-wing--that does not share either the values (e.g., respect for law, morality, fiscal responsibility) or the honesty and intelllectual roots of genuine conservatives..

To take just one example: genuine conservitves have as much respect for the Constitution and its protections of civil rights and civil liberties as any liberal. The differences are on interpretation and method--but both share the same core values--a love of freedom and a determination todefend it.

That--obviously--isn't part of the right-wing (or Bush's) political agenda.

Bush isn't a "perfect" conservative. in fact, one could argue that he isn't a conservative at all - at least not fiscally or when it comes to national security and securing the borders.

under his watch, the government and its spending has grown at a higher rate than at any time in history - and that is NOT including the Iraq war funding.

he talks like a conservative and spends like a liberal. his Patriot Act is also not derived from any conservative premise -- it has liberal agenda written all over it. next thing you know, he'll start talking about gun control - LOL.
