Aeropostale, Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch....most of their stuff is bad quality, and so ugly and PLAIN for the price!!!! I really don't understand why people by their ugly ripped up, worn out looking jeans anyway! Its retarded! If i want to wear some worn out ripped up jeans to paint my house in or chill at home with, then i want to over wear and rip them up my damn self!!! Why the heck would anyone spend 60 + dollars on this crap at these dumb stores??!! I don't get it!! Don't worry, dont let those people make you feel bad for not buying those dumb clothes or not wanting to spend that much on those type of clothes. You have more sense and more sense style for realizing that they are ridiculous!!! :)

$40 is not cheap at all. When I was younger I had to earn the money to buy my own things, so I understand. I never could even afford GAP unless it was a big sale. The people who have things handed to them appreciate nothing, ignore them.People in the fashion industry know that you can get good clothes at any level, people who pay for the name of something alone get what they pay for. It's all image and marketing anyhow. Besides, American Eagle clothing is not that hot - it is badly made and overpriced for what it is. Everything I have ever gotten from there has fallen apart, you are better off with JC Penny or Target. Old Navy, H&M and Target are great for shopping within a budget. I am an adult and I do okay now, but thanks to my upbringing, I don't pay too much for basic things - you will come out ahead of the rich preps, don't worry. That whole thing about building character - that's true. But it's also true that a lack of cash makes you creative and that in turn creates style. Everyone thrifts and wears "vintage" now, but my friends and I did it back when people mocked it. I have some designer things (some stuff is made well and worth the cash) that I paid all of $5-$20 bucks for. Having less to spend also wises you up to quality - when you do spend more, you want it to be worth it.
Fashion is where you find it. Dressing well if you have a lot of money is easy, but then again, I have seen a ton of badly dressed rich folks.

JCPenney? Even they're too expensive for me, so you must have more money than me, and I feel the same way about people who are more better off. I shop seldomly, maybe once a year and it's usually at TJ's or Marshall's. Either that or I just wear the pants that I've had for more than 5 years that still fit me.
But I do agree with you. Even though I don't have the money to spend at A&E and all those other stores, there was a time when I did...and I still wouldn't shop there. Mostly because they have cheap merchandise and all you're paying for is to be "popular". And it seems most, but not all, people who shop at these stores do have an air about them that they're so much better than people who can't afford it. No it's not jealousy on our part, more like "stop taking your parents money and start learning to pay for bills, THEN you can satisfy your clothing urges". People who shop at those stores and think the poorer people are jealous, just don't have the grown up bills that we have to handle every day.

I work for my money and would rather spend less on clothing when possible and donate to charities that will help other people.
So called fashion changes so rapidly, it doesn't have anything to do with my life.
I appreciate everything that I and my family have worked for, and do not need any label or brand in my life to make my life.
Everyone will be the same at the end of their lives, all the material stuff remains behind, so what real difference does it make. None.
Have a great day, there are many people in the world who would feel blessed to have store bought clothing, so I think that you are doing fine.

I have to say I like all those stores. I used to shop for everything at JC Penney but now I find myself going to Aeropostale for a lot of stuff. Honestly I like Aeropostal's jeans, and the way I look at it, is if I'm going to feel more comfortable and think I look better, then I don't mind spending the extra $10 on a pair of jeans. I'm a very reasonable shopper and always have been, I hit the sales racks at any store before I look for anything else. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing your parents still buy your clothes for you?... When you start making your own money and buying everything on your own, you'll find your own ideas of what is expensive and what isn't.

I know some rich people are like that. But my dad and mom have money, like they are rich, I am not rich but they are as they say to me since its THEIR money, and they both think that hollister is expensive but then they go and buy pants for like 2000 bucks, im like what the heck. i know thats a bit off topic but i know what you mean, in my opinion hollister, abercrombie, and all that other stuff is cheap compared gucci crap but expensive for teens without money since that clothing is targeted toward teens, like me! haha.

expensive "Poopie undergo", No, it particularly is purely older human beings or people who're from cities the place they actually smile at you. Now, you will possibly be from a great paying for mall/Abercrombie/MAC/Neiman Marcus/BMW form of city, and then any form of touch different than "OMG you're SO horny and that i admire your HAIR and you particularly ought to get implants and Dr. Shapiro's relatively incredible and it would not harm while they placed the collagen on your lips" etc... properly sure, then in case you're THAT style I completely get it... Whew, i want some chocolate...!
