It's important for news media to report the facts, from an objective perspective. Sometimes that makes people (in any position) uncomfortable. If it's a story about how someone has done something illegal, then it's up to the courts to hold them accountable.

An objective story that reports the facts allows the audience to make up their own mind on whether the subject should be held accountable (if it's a politician, you'll see the result come election time; if it's a business, you might see an impact on sales).

It is not supposed to be the media's job, however, to make such a determination and editorialize when reporting the news. The only place this would be appropriate is in the OPINION section of the newspaper.

Yes. That's why they are called the FOURTH ESTATE.

And that stuff about the liberal media is garbage. The top cable newschannel: FOX NEWS. The top radio program: Rush Limbaugh. Neither of which would ever be construed as liberal. But then Republicans frequently ignore facts and name call to achieve their agenda.

No, its all left wing propaganda. The liberal left own and use the media to spread their misinformation to undermine the country, undermine any republican administration, expose national secrets and bring the country down in many respects including social decay. Its their weapon of choice.

in my opinion it is, thats the only way the ordinary people of a country can be aware of what politions or any other powerful people get up to, this way they are more careful with their actions.
