I think it's for real. The boy's mother was on Wendy Williams radio show yesterday and she sounded as serious as a heart attack. Despite the fact that the boy's identity has been leaked to the media and internet, she was still trying to shield her child. The boy is afraid (and rightly so) of further retaliation. A lot of people do a lot of stupid things, particularly when they are famous and rich. They always think they won't have to pay the price.
