Why sit quietly by and allow scum to ruin a valued and so far respected religion?
Part of the problem may be a lack of education but the wise and learned Muslim leaders do nothing..
Question is...why???And if they won't take control of Islam from the terrorists then why should the rest of us worry about THEIR civil rights??
Just asking as I have Muslim friends and they have no answers..

Most Muslims are kept uneducated so they can't think for themselves. The Islamic leaders prefer people who do what they say without thinking.

There's scum in the catholic religion too, just look at all those child-molester priests, why don't Catholics do something about them? Why can't the Muslim just be a Muslim and follow his faith, living in good company with his fellow man regardless of their faith? I think the job of taking the violent fundamentalist extremists is the job of either the government that houses these extremists, or governments that get sick of them.

I might ask the same question of Catholics --
Rather difficult to CONTROL 1.9 billion Muslims. Religion is religion. Many follow the rules of the religion and live good productive lives. Others interpret as they please. The same with Catholics, Jews, Methodists.

I got no response, except for "why shoild they"?
The real answser is: because they CAN'T.

Because their religion is one of conquest and converting infadels, violence etc. Its just how they are, even the moderates agree that the actual word of the prophet is to do things that by Western definition are BAD, EVIL THINGS.

Because they feel like an embattled minority and will grasp onto, or put up with, the radicals out of a sense of pride.
