My friend was illegally parked, and had his car towed(YES, a stupid mistake). He had to pay the illegal parking fine, yet when his car had to be towed...
The same company(who will do a 3 mile tow) charges $45.00. Now if the POLICE are in on it, now to get your car back is $300.00 ....so where did the $255 go to? You see this scam played out 24-7-365 ALL across america, by law-enforcement.
Great way to fill the city coffers...and who are the real criminals(that sign-off and authorize gangsters).
Anyone else have to pay extortion fee's to get their car back?

where i am here in woodstock, ga. the police depts. set the rates to which you have to pay. for an abandoned veh., you have to pay 125-160 + daily storage charges. my bro-n-law got stuck on the side of the rd, had to be pulled 20' to get enuff traction to pull out himself. the driver ofthe wrecker charged him 100 bux just for 20'. only b/c cherokee county called them instead of lettin him call who he wanted. he wasnt in any danger of causin an accident.
