Noooo. They wouldn't do anything like that! That's a Republican tactic! Democrats really just want the troops home--immediately, right? That's what they said when they were campaigning to win.

Yeah, because no Democrats have been calling for this for a long time or have proposed any bills that would have called the troops home sooner only to have them shot down.
Also, only the Democrats do things for political reasons. We all know that Bush and the other politicians never play politics. Especially people like Gonzales.

Politics is the name of the game. If the Democrats really wanted the troops home, then they never would have supported Bush in sending them over there. That being said, they'll be using the troops (alive and dead) in their ploy to obtain the Presidency... What a scam!

Yes, very suspicious yet only you point it out, not our "free"press. Wlcome to politics. I also find this entire attorney firing very suspicious. Bill Clinton fired all 93 US attorneys prior to taking office. These are political appointments that serve at the pleasure of the chief executive (US Attorneys are affiliated with the executive branch). For this democratic congress to get excited about several being fired for whatever reason, even asking about their firing is a joke and possible blurring of the separation of powers. I applaud the one attorney for invoking the fifth amendment...just look at what happened to that poor sap Scotter Libby. His life was destroyed because he became a pawn in another suspicious game created and written by partisan Joe Wilson and co-staring his lovely but partisan wife. Richard Armitage "outed" Valerie Plame-Wilson and the investigation should have stopped right then....but no, they put people under oath and faulty memories or not, someone eventually got caught. Bill Clinton overtly lied under oath but that didn't matter to the same group that now says it matters.
Politics. Ain't it a great waste of money?

just want to get the troops home ALIVE...
The Republicans are just all gung ho
on sending more innocent folks to their
sense less deaths.
Hey! Lets send ALL the Bush & Cheney kids,

Notice people like Hilary, Pelosi etc were orriginaly so pro-withdrawl and now they are saying "well were always going to have to have some kind of presence". They are making all these non binding resolutions so the dems dont get mad for them not doing anything, they know that withdrawl is a terrible idea. This is all just for politics.

Of course it's politics. The whole idea of politics and politicans relate back to politics. Beyond that pullout is going to take time, we can't just do it quickly.

What ? You actually think anyone would pull troops out of senseless war for political reasons rather than concern for human life?
That suprises you?

Not really. The fact stands that the democrats have been trying to get us out of there for the past 2 years, but haven't been able to because of a Republican congress and Bush.

No. They already control the House. The start date for the pull out is in April. The finish date is in September.
