Otsuka is a good candidate for a drop, as is Tulowitzki.

Here's the thoughts on your list of relievers. There's two angles you can take. One is to look at guys who are most likely to become closers. The clear choices there are Wheeler and Howry. Lidge is looking like a mess in Houston, and he's been given about 12 chances last year. First sign of trouble and Wheeler takes over.

Dempster has a similar story, and Howry performed well in a limited stint last year.

The other option is to go for guys who get good other numbers like strikeouts, and hope they snipe a couple saves and some wins. I'm not as much a fan of this strategy, as relievers pitch few innings thus limiting their potential impact on your team. A reliever not getting saves is a bit of a waste.

But if you do try to go this route, Linebrink is the one to look at. He is a great power pitcher and will get the K's. He IS also pitching behind an injury risk in SD (Hoffman), but if Hoffman stays healthy, Linebrink will just spend another year as setup man.

I'd go after Wheeler first and Howry second, with Linebrink as a distant third.

Good luck!

You have some speed on your team...look for people who have none and see if trade would work out..Freel is streaky, but the versatility is a plus..I'd package him and Glavine or Garland

Ok...I like to handcuff my so-so relief pitchers with their backups... you already have jones, I'd grab rodney...You already have otsuka as a setup man..gagne has looked good this spring...but he wil be next in line if the elbow doesn't hold

Freddy Garcia may land on the DL...is there alot of pickup action in your league? If not, wait a couple of days and see if Freddy goes DL, then you will have an open roster spot and not have to drop anyone...

Another option could be Jorge Julio (just traded to Florida, will close) or Dustin Hemansen (will close for the Reds, has looked strong/sharp in spring..not listed in players available yet, though)

No, you have one solid closer in Jenks, another good closer with Jones, and a potential closer in Otsuka. Jones is good but be aware of Zumaya in the wings if anything goes bad and Otsuka could be an amazing pick for you if Gagne still can't prove to be healthy. When you make a trade, you want to get something specific and give up something specific. Never give up something and get another similar thing back just for the sake of making a trade (this is kind of what giving two middle round closers for one top closer would be). For example, if you're really strong in RBI and really weak in Runs and SB, make a trade that gives up some RBI and fills your holes.
