The engine in my 1998 megane coupé has slowly (over a few weeks) become really noisey. Almost like a hole in the exhaust or something off center in the engine. Not too bad when ticking over, but bad at mid speed (even if you pop it into neutral). Causes no real loss of power... any guesses?

Exhaust, get kwik fit to check for holes or block the end of the exhaust with your foot (sole) and see if it gets louder, if it does new pipes or box.

My partners bmw was really noisy last week
he felt like one of them young boy racers.
Turns out he had to get a new exhaust fitted.

no longer sufficient info. you should assert what automobile age and miles does it take place whilst the e vine is working or whilst tbecar is shifting. Is it there for all time or whilst warm or chilly how long has it been doing it any warning lighting in and so on and so on
