I'm looking for a tutorial or instructions to make a covered baby wipes case. I love how they look but they are so expensive so I was hoping to find the instructions to make them myself.

All you do is cut your fabric to size and hot glue it on. You put binding, rope or whatever around the edges to hide the frayed part. You don't even have to hem the fabric.

Bookmark this page - there's a tutorial coming soon.

I'm not sure if you're wanting to cover an existing plastic or metal case just to decorate it, or if you're wanting to make a soft-sided "travel" case from scratch that would fit baby wipes inside.

If it's the latter, here's one simplified lesson for making a fabric one (you'd want to use plastic or something waterproof for the liner piece, and make it the size you need):
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_sewing_accessories/article/0,,HGTV_3321_1393080,00.html
....there should be patterns available at the fabric store for all kinds of these travel containers, etc.... or should be some online if you could think of the right search terms to use

However, if you just want to "cover" a plastic baby wipes case, or a metal case of some kind you buy elsewhere (for pencils, or other things), you could do all kinds of things with glue (decoupage, paper, fabric, trims, embellishements), or you could cover them with polymer clay**, or you could paint them with special plastic paints, etc..

**info on covering plastics or metal with polymer clay is here:

... and if you want to buy plastic or metal cases, check out this page under the CONTAINERS category especially

Good luck!

can u give me a link to a picture of what you are thinking of? just so i can help you out? i think i know what you are talking about, but want to double check. the travel cases if you are purchsing them, are cheap at wal mart and they come with wipes in them, or you can get them at the dollarstore, but i think they are empty. i haven't seen large cases, but you could buy one full of wipes, and empty it while you do your design on it, and then you have wipes too.
