Actually, I think any serious book on Time Travel will tell you how nearly impossibe it is to travel through time. So mostly what any author on this subject could do at most is to show that some form of time travel does not violate the laws of physics.
Here is a book I would recommend for you to read:
Time Travel in Einstein's Universe: The Physical Possibilities of Travel Through Time
by J. Richard Gott
I would also recommend that you start taking some university level physics and math classes. It's the only way to enhance your ability to understand quantum physics and perhaps time travel at a detail level.

Can we currently? Yes and now. Theoretically you can travel to teh future by freezing yourself to be thawed later. Right now we don't know how to thaw you and have you survive it...
Past: nope. Can it be done? Unlikely, but not impossible. Time is a property, like energy and mass. All are somewhat interchangeable. At the "time" of the big bang, time did not exist as we know it. As such, in a similar scenario but on a smaller scale, time can break down. However, there is no way to survive such scenarios, so the point is moot. It involves the super compression of space, mass, and energy. like a super-black hole.

I like Brian Greene's "The Elegant Universe". Brian goes into time travel issues in the context of string theory and related theories having to do with space. I think the context is important because time travel depends in large measure on the physics of space as well as time.

Nothing is not possible, it is simply particularly incredible. For instance if I drop a stone it isn't not possible for that stone to shoot off into house rather of falling down at my ft, it is simply means means means much more likely to fall at my ft. Assuming time journey is possible then long term residing men and women with that technological know-how could most probably have found out how one can come again (or move forwards) with out interfering in present parties besides, giving us a time laptop could without doubt depend as inteference, failing that they could quite often be coming again to difference small main points to hinder better issues in a while, which we might even be blind to.

Time travel is absolutely possible. You are doing it right now.
Unless you mean time travel to the _past_...That will border on impossible. Lots of website to time travel, just use your favorite search engine and clue in "time travel". You will get your fill of it.

Time travel through string theory is not impossible, what is impoosile is sending somebodies molecules through time and making them re appear together.
