The story is more about what is human and what isn't. It isn't about sexism, although the female nexus models were good looking, they were multifunctional. Roy Baty was just as attractive as Pris or Zhorra, just not given as much notice when it came to that during the movie.

All the Nexus models were slaves, in the most pejorative sense of the word. Some were killers, some were exotics but all were owned and had a limited life span.

The Tyrell Corp was about making things that were "More Human than Human"; they were attempting to create perfection out of genetic engineering; perfection can look pleasing to the eye and be sensual.

Was it sexism; nope the Females had as much power and strength in this movie as the males; they just used their talents in different ways.

Now that is my answer. If your teacher is some leftist feminist who never shaves, than your answer will be "Yep, there is sexism all through this movie".

And ignore that silly pittpenguin person; nobody from that town has enough brain cells to formulate a coherent sentence anyway.

Difficult I would say that its main unconscious exploitation of sexism is with its exploration of such conventions as the femme fatale character. Deckard's need to protect "his" woman. Some people say that the female protagonists are strong given that Pris and Zhora are physically very strong and violent towards Deckard - here there appears to be a conscious attempt to heighten and extend the scenes in which women are attacked and threatened potentially displaying unconscious sexism. Rachael by comparison is very soft and gentle and shot through almost a soft focus technique and her visual design is one of the full lipped femme fatale. That's about all I can contribute but its been a long time since I've seen the film. Hope it helps, good luck.
