how do i get on as a back up singer r&b, soul music. i want to get experience under my belt?

Track down your nearest R&B recording studio. Meet with the producer and give him a sample of what you have to offer. Whenever the "next big thing" comes in there to record the producer will have you on a list to give you a call. This is a standard practice in the recording industry. I also hope that you live near a big city (like Atlanta) that has a large industry of R&B studios to choose from.
