Many women do support each other. I do see many places where we could reach out more towards one another, however, we must never forget the good that's being done and find ways to grow that instead of overlook it.

I really don't think they ever did stick together. Perhaps it is a primal trait - the alpha female gets the best mate, the best cave, etc.
I have always thought female competition is based on jealousy; but in fairness to women, I think men are just as competitive with each other but it is more socially accepted for them to be competitive, so they don't resort to gossip and other manipulations to score points, they are more straightforward.
As a mother of a young girl, I try to teach her how not to "betray the sisterhood" - but it is a tough lesson to learn.

Damn fine question. I have been wondering the same thing for years. For this reason, I have less than a handful of true female friends, who are intelligent and secure enough to understand the importance of sticking together, and are equally appalled at the current trends of caddiness, back-stabbing, degredation and blind hatred in the US today.
Hopefully someone will enlighten us.

...not a lady here but i hope you have fair regard anyhow.
this is an important and interesting question and i respond to it with lots of sincerity.
but from the male and human perspective.
i have often been within collectives of both gender and have noticed how easy and simple and therefore natural it is for the consciousness of each to be distracted from common idea and purpose.
which troubled me greatly because i being an individual which did not like splintered and disordered collections of individuals gathered purposelessly (but not..) and not having or holding the ability to all focus their conscious to one prospect or cause.
i discovered why.
it is because the living mind/feeling facilities of embodiment of each respond to ideas of the person created from present of experience.
so.....partially opened/receptive mindscapes do not well purpose collectively.
and it is the same for all humans and not only Ladies.
but...i think i realize why you ask this question and it is for good reason....but if you listen closely....not each human (man or woman) 'believe' the ideas and purposes of others are in truth 'right' or correct for them. their own experiences are different. each have their own daily concerns and more or less realized ideals/ambitions.
to ask that a collection of people designated by gender collect and stick together is making a large request given the aforementioned realities.
but...take credit. no other organization of individuals that is the ''feminist'' collection can claim to have the same solidarity or proofs to such.
it is just so sad that the ideas of feminists have proved that social (dis)integration are/is both possible granting that not all experiences or ideals are same amongst those of same gender.
which is why i say again....
let your collections be human and purposes human and make these ideas/practices effective and you will meet with much less resistance or disintegrative realizations/forces.
feminism is not in and of itself a worthless or bad cause...
but again i say....you don't have all the facts and where you don't have all the facts they are created by partial experience of self or history to wear like a coat of sympathy so that you may conquer those whom you perceive to be less correct and less loving.
and if you take this attitude with those ideas....you will continue to meet with much personal/social (dis)integrative realizations.
which is why ladies don't stick together (or men) ...
in fact....poor organization is the result of confused/non-intelligent memberships.
not even the military can brag that each of their members love one another...as practice...with ideals.
however then...the military is not an organization which you ladies should seek to emulate...because of this realization.
