They are about trhe same age, so if I had to choose one, it would be Miggy. It's close, but he really does a lot offensively. They do a lot of the same things on the field, but Tejada just does them a sliver better. A bit more power, a bit more extra base hits, etc. Niether player steals a lot of bases, walks a lot, and they have similar fielding ability. I never actually realized how similar they are!
Miggy by a nose!

Miguel Tejada of course. Miggy will get more rbi's more homers and same ammount of runs. (similar steal numbers low handful) Young will only get a better Average.
Go with Miggy

Michael Young. Four straight 200+ hit seasons, one batting title, team player, just keeps his mouth shut and plays the game. Tejada complains too much.
Over the last 3 seasons, Young leads Tejada in runs (321-291), hits (654-616), and avg (.319-.315).
Tejada leads Young in 2B (127-125), HR (84-60), RBI (348-293), and OPS (.879-.849)
It looks to me like that Tejada only enjoys a big difference in HR and RBI. I can't argue the power any, but I think that if Young was a No.3 hitter like Tejada is, the RBI totals would be much closer. Last season Young beat Tejada in RBI 103-100. Just my personal opinion, but 103 RBI from your leadoff man is more impressive that 100 from your No.3.
