Women are bad for men's mental health... who'd a thunk it?

This is not a very scientific study. In my opinion men are more than welcome to sleep on the couch. I don't have a problem with that. Also it doesn't say anything about mental health it merely suggests that their sleep is not as restful and that could also occur when sleeping with another man or a pet, or with the telly on for that matter.

Yeah, I read this same study...the article doesn't say whether or not the couples lived together, or how long they had been together... To me, this study was VERY poorly done (or the article did a poor job of reporting on it). I think they should have also compared married couple's sleep patterns to single people. My husband swears he cannot sleep without me, and the nights when I have to pull "all-nighters" writing papers, he can't fall asleep as quickly, and he wakes up more often, (this is just anecdotal, of course.) Besides, numerous studies have shown that being married is GOOD for men's health, because married men tend to eat healthier, go to the doctor sooner if something is wrong, and have lower levels of stress than their unmarried peers (of course, that depends on whether it's a "good" marriage or not!)
