Is it just me, or are these pictures EXTREMELY offensive and disgusting? What do you think should be the penalty?

You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times or on the lead story of the major news networks. The protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High School in California.

In my opinion, if they don't like it, they can leave. If they don't want to learn English, they should go somewhere that doesn't require English and where English is not the national language.

Freedome of speech does not mean whining that the current residents should learn to adapt with the immigrants. Freedom of speech does not mean that you can disrespect the country so.

I don't hate the Mexicans or anything/anyone, but really.....enough is enough. Learn English and respect the country or leave.

i find it offensive that they live in this country & thats how they show respect for it ... if they aren't happy with something then hold up a banner for it but to diss a country as a whole well don't like it then move ... can't move than show more respect for the country in which you reside

Flying a nation's flag upside is a sign of the deepest disrespect. To do it to the nation that you are living in and taking hand outs from is disgusting and displaying that those involved are the lowest form of life.

If they feel that way, they should be deported. Its strange how the Mexicans want to turn the US into another Mexico but they don't want to live in Mexico.

100% agree with you. These hoodlums need to be strung up in the same manner for a day or so, then deported.

This is not Mexico and we fly an American Flag here.
This is not Mexico and we speak English here.
What's more, we don't want it to start looking like Mexico, is that why you left there?
Then don't come up here and "dirty our Country". Love it, respect it, or go home!!!

I find it extremely offensive, however, I also believe in free expression which is in the American Constitution, but this is totally uncalled for in my eyes. If I recall Califournia originally belonged to Mexico so it might have been that what they were celebrating and they want that back. The important thing though it looked like it was peaceful demonstration. So where is the harm?

Disrespect a flag which represent a country, it is wrong, and I think they learned it from TV, I am very disappoint with the new generation, no matter who's flag that is, it is a symbol of a country we should all respect it.
Btw, how was Europe?

If they want the Mexican flag flying, why don't they go to Mexico?

This is not a hard question. There actually is a "magical" place called Mexico where they DO speak spanish and DO fly the Mexican flag. Why don't they just go there?
