Is there a significance to receiving a boquet of an even number of roses in Germany? And opposingly receiving an ODD number of them?

The topic has come up twice in the last week, so now I'm curious... :-S

I've never heard anything about that either. I have heard about the different colors of roses, though.

The only thing I ever heard of is that if you're giving a number lower than ten, you give an uneven one, because they can be arranged better, whereas small, even numbered bouquets are hard to arrange. With ten or over it doesn't make a difference anymore.

This may have turned into a superstition of some people just thinking this is the "Done" thing, but there's no etiquette rule or anything.
