No one deserves cancer. That isn't even a funny question. I hope you never have any one in your family get that disease and have to watch them suffer through it.

How can you be undecided on someone "deserving to have cancer"? What an unbelievable question. Says more about you than Tony Snow.

Cancer is not some form of punishment, it is a medical condition - end of story. If you think cancer is a form of punishment then I assume you think children deserve to be punished?

As someone who is currently dealing with cancer, I personally find this question both tacky and uncalled for.
Regardless of ones political opinion, such puerile nonsense is just not cool.

Why would he deserve cancer? Because he isn't a liberal jellyhead?

Both of my grandmothers died horrible deaths from cancer, as did my father-in-law, and my sister-in-law is a cancer survivor. NO ONE deserves to have cance. NO ONE.

Perhaps God doesn't like the ugly republicans and has begun raining down fire and brimstone upon them. It almost seems that way.
Go Democrats!
edit: Your question is not without precedent. Puritan founder John Winthrop subscribed to the belief that the native peoples who lived in the hinterlands around the colony had been struck down by God, who sent disease among them, because of their non-Christian beliefs: "But for the natives in these parts, God hath so pursued them, as for 300 miles space the greatest part of them are swept away by smallpox which still continues among them. So as God hath thereby cleared our title to this place, those who remain in these parts, being in all not 50, have put themselves under our protection."
