Iran is 636,362 square miles.
Texas is 261, 797 square miles
It would be about the size of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California combined.
Or, slightly smaller than Alaska which is 663,267 square miles.

The north bordering the Caspian sea is lush. The interior has a lot of desert land.
