I will say - John Kerry. for VC of course.
John Murtha is a great "WAR HERO" for Democrats too.
No wonder we can never win Iraq with heroes like these JOHNs.

I'm not sure about James Webb, but the only ones that were with John Kerry at the time that said he was any kind of 'war' hero' were paid to say it for commercials and media. The ones who didn't accept the payoffs, like the ones ranked above him, all said he was kind of pathetic. All depends on if you are a typical American who believes in the fiction that a democrat controlled media feeds you instead of finding out facts on your own.

I gotta say as a 22 year old child of privilege John Kerry joining up and going to that war was a more inspirational thing than most of us will ever do, he could've slipped that in a heartbeat, but instead he went. Thanks John Kerry. With that said, that is the last moment John Kerry did anything inspirational and not completely self-serving. He turned on his men and his country and then had the nerve to try to become our President.
James Webb is mercenary that will switch ideals like the wind.
Why is it such a great evidence of character that a person serves in the military. Don't get me wrong, I love my troops but most of those guys sign up cause they wanna kill somethin. I have friends in the military and family and they're a little whacked, to be honest. Some guys are good at playing baseball some are good at killin people, not sure that either one qualify you to be a leader of people. Leaders are of course made in the military but not all military people are leaders.

Give us a break. You know all us liberals are weak and loaded on Welfare drugs.
How about adding Old Hickory to your list.
Oh we fired or cannon till the barrel melted down So we grabbed an alligator and fired another round.
There is nothing more important to us liberals than the father of the two party system King Dem Jackson.
Nothing says Democratic ideals better than a 150 year old account of Aristocrats killing Cherokee for for Wall Street investors. And that is the exact same "Democrat" that Bush wants for Iraq.
Go big Red Go

You picked the wrong Kerry. Among the Dems, I'd pick former Senator Bob Kerrey as one of the top war heroes. Not only did he actually fight in Vietnam (unlike John "Swift Boat" Kerry), but he lost a leg as a result.

Obama has served lower than one hundred fifty days interior the senate and is compliing a record of earmarks, the position as McCain has yet to push an earmark! to me ther isn't any decision, i will vote for a shown hero than a puppet upstart any day

You sit there minimizing someone's military service while bowing to a little coward that hid during Viet Nam. Daddy hid W in the national guard and war in Alabama was hell. Cheney was no better. Webb was a Marine as was his father and his son. His son is in Iraq now if I am not mistaken. How many children do Bush or Cheny or Bumsfield have serving? It is really easy to sit on your butt in the white house and act all full of bravado. Funny thing is, when it is your time to show the strength of your convictions, you send someone else to bleed and die. And if you think supporting our troops is to keep sending them to the Iraq meatgrinder, then you need help. That means you are as delusional and out of touch as your beloved President.

I believe John F. Kerry would qualify as the bigger "Hero". After all, the North Vietnamese Communists have his picture in a place of honor in their War Museum.
Kerry was truly a hero to the Communist cause.

there are so many to chose from - it's hard to say.
fdr certainly was the greatest president of the 20th century and got america through the great depression and WWII.
JFK was the youngest president and actually had a family life in the white house - also started civil rights and stood down the ussr in cuba over the missles.
there are others as well, but you get the point...

And just think, republicans like to claim that its only the left who likes to bash people who served in the military. Come on, admit it, you have fantasies about George Bush being half the war hero his father was don't you?
