last august i hit my head and i get headaches a little bit more now then usual. There not severe headaches just really little ones. Just wanna know is it possible that i can have a serious brain injury. I went to the doctor and he said i have nothing wrong with me. but that was in november and i still get them but not nearly as much anymore. My dad has a condition where he has to take migrane medicine for his headahces since he has been like in his early 20's. Could he have passes it down to me and im just nervous thinking that im getting these headaches from the injury?

if u suffer brain injury from hitting the glass, u might experience lost memory or coma. since u r ok,
i think it passes down from ur dad.
ask ur dad whether ur grandpa had migranes also..?
if ur grandpa had migraines, then i think it passed down from ur dad.

It's possible to get brain injuries from hitting your head (and I'm worried because I just got beaned in the head-- first by two cans, then by two boxes-- at work, and then by a hammer at home... is a target painted on my head, or what?) but these are likely stress headaches from worrying so much. Try to relax. I recently saw on the Rachel Ray show that holding a pencil between your teeth helps when you have a headache, too-- it relaxes the tensing muscles. Take a vacation, take a nap, take a pencil, just relax and see if it helps. If it works, then you can stop worrying. Good rule of thumb-- it's fine to take steps to prevent a problem if you know steps to take, but worrying about the problem only causes more problems. Hope this all helps!

You may simply not be getting enough water, if you're dehydrated because you drink too little water, or too much pop for instance, you'll get headaches, it's why you get headaches if you drink alcohol(hangover), your body doesn't process the liquid as water so you're dehydrated. So try 2L of water per day.

Since you've seen your doctor, that would be my best guess.

As for your original question, it depends on the mirror, the backing etc. If the mirror is thin on a thin backing, you could easily break it without much force, and not the force needed to hurt your head. If it was a thick mirror, mounted securely on a very hard wall, and you had to go to the hospital after, then it might be a problem. Likely though, not a big deal, people hit their heads with low force all the time.

Because it's been so long since your injury, it's going to be difficult to tell if you sustained any damage without expensive MRI or CAT scan tests. When you hit your head, the first thing you need to look for is signs of a concussion - dilated pupils, dizziness, passing/blacking out, nausea and/or vomiting. The more serious a concussion, the more likely you've sustained permanent bran damage. Since you have a family history of migranes, I would look into that or dehydration as the cause of your headaches first. Drink plenty of water. Also, check for allergies - my hay fever started initially as massive sinus headaches before going full-blown nasal and sinus congestion and watery eyes.

go see a neurologist and get a cat-scan or MRI of the brain to rule out any problems.
