Think about it!
The dad makes more so the concern of child support is not such a big issue. It forces the father to develop a relationship between the child and father.

It depends. There's no one size fits all for every custody situation. One parent may be unfit, abusive, a substance abuser, financially unable, mentally ill, ect. I think it depends on the parents and the situation.

No, it would be better if some people did not have children. Assuming there was a marriage in the first place-then the children should stay with the parent is is not guilty of whatever caused the divorce. If both parents are guilty-just shoot them both and put the kids in foster care. This is a serious problem in the black community and no one seems to care. We have to raise our children to be responsible. Most of the people I know have children that would rather be a criminal than a honest person with a job-and they think its cool. This is a tragedy.

I don't believe that custody should be based on monetary concerns. I believe that it should be based on the best interests of the children. Sometimes that's the mother and sometimes that's the father. That said, it is the non-custodial parents responsibility to maintain the relationship with the children. If you have to force a relationship, it will be a poor one.

I personally think the child should be taken away and put into a home that will love him/her, and that the parents of that child be made to support the other family financially for at least 25 years for looking after that child, and then both be made childless never to have any more.
