We are in El Salvador and would like to choose an impressive but relatively easy dance to do. Can anyone give me any suggestions for music and dance?

The tango is really pretty easy to learn and you can learn a lot of fancy steps pretty easily. Sorry, not good on music for the tango, but that should be easy to find as it's one of the most popular dances out there.

Or, as you are in South America you might want to try the Samba. It is a step that can be learned with ease as it is a step that is used in most aerobics classes. It's a fun dance and again add a bit of dips and you look like you have been doing it for ages. It should be easy to find a school to help you learn either dance and they will suggest a good music for either.

Foxtrot is a good wedding dance. Easy to learn, looks pretty good. Waltz is good too, but in my opinion it is harder to look relaxed in Waltz if you are a beginner because of Waltz action. Dips and drops are all the same in Foxtrot as in Waltz, even easier, if you choose to learn them. You can look for Foxtrot music here: http://www.ballroomdancers.com/Music/search_style.asp?Dance=Foxtrot

A waltz is a nice slow dance. It is common and easy as well. Once you get the basic steps down, you can add lots of impressive looking things. i.e. dips and spins.
