I mean they just today publically threatened anyone who'd try to defend the lives of millions of innocent Iranian people by going after Ahmadinejad.
This isn't the first time this is happening and that's why I'm asking.
I know I have to do my own research, but I'm just curious if anyone knows the reason why this is happening.

Also, Russia has been trying its hand at establishing itself as the "anti-United States," to promote domestic solidarity as a cohesive and independent state. Thus, it sometimes acts contrary just TO BE contrary: If the US is hardlining certain countries, Russia almost certainly will take the opposite position...
