i like to sit outside and get a tan sometimes but the guy next door i will see him staring out the window when im out there and sometimes i feel like throwing a brick through his window. the yard isnt very big theres not really anywhere to hide. i just wanna be able to enjoy the nice weather without someone staring!! its really getting me paranoid. what should i do? talking to this guy isnt an option hes really weird and i avoid contact.

Take a really scary looking old army rifle out there (with the bayonet fixed on it) and clean it carefully, all the while maintaining eye contact with the staring party.

Attach a rope from one point to another point up fairly high, then hang a sheet or blanket up for privacy when you are ready to go tanning. Anyone is sits and stares at someone is definitely a weirdo and you don't want to confront someone like that. The only thing you may end up doing is making him angry. So just avoid him completely. He may be doing it to try and get ANY type of response out of you. Make sure it is hung in a location where you will be able to get the sun's direction to shine on you. Rope or clothes lines is cheap, plus you will be able to double duty the line for air drying other articles too.

I have to agree. Unless he is taking a pair of binoculars to leer at you, there's not much you can do until he effectively trespasses on your property. You could try erecting a fence between the two properties or a screen.
Maybe if you get someone to pretend to be your SO (or your actual SO, and all the better if they are bigger than he is) and make an obvious PDA in your backyard (not too obvious, there might be kids around!), you might get him to back off a little. He'll realize he's not the only person who sees you as a hot tamale!

Set up one of those phony camcorders, aimed at him. He will think you are doing it to take some kind of legal action against him. Keep "adjusting and checking to see if it is working". After a few days, invite a friend over to "review" the make believe tape and start laughing. He will be so embarrassed, he'll stop.
The reason he will stop, is that even though you don't know what he is doing with the part of his body you cannot see, he will think you figured it out. Some guy's are weird!

Well you say talking to him is not an option, but take a friend with you, a witness, confront him and let him know that you know he is watching you! Sounds creepy!! Unfortunately the police can not do anything just because he is watching you..Confronting him, will let him know that you are keeping an eye on him and he will probably be less likely to keep doing it knowing he is being watched! Can you tan somewhere else? Good luck :)

I have the perfect thing for you ....moon him... drop the bottoms & moon him...Im joking Im sorry just thought maybe you could use a little laugh ... I dont know your living arrangements but if you have a guy friend maybe you could get him to go over & tell him to stop or it might be a good idea to enjoy the sun someplace more private, not that you should have to but these days who knows what people are thinking... he might just be nosey I've had some of those but it pays to be careful......

yep! Got the same neighbor as you do......LOL
They know before i answer my door who it is?
If and when I get company, they would NEVER stop and think twice just too come over and see who it is.
They have even asked me WHO'S cars was out in MY driveway?
What helped me is....NO MATTER who came I made sure too tell who ever is was to just smile and wave,Or TALK loud enough so they make sure they hear , and about them peering out the window I TELL everyone who comes too make sure they wave at the window and door as they walk by!
BETTER yet! I have even ASKED these nebby neighbors DON'T or Can't they find ANYTHING ELSE too do with their spare time! GET A LIFE!

I know how you feel had the same problem and its a shame you can't lay out and try to get a tan when all they do is stare. tell him its not nice and if he keeps it up you will ask a police offiecer what you can do. or try to find a different spot to lay out so that he can't see you, or lay out when he isn't home. good luck.

Get a standing umbrella, stand with your back to him and take off your top. Then lie down out of his view.
Invite your fat friends over to bask in the sun for hours, days, weeks.
Check the national website for sex offenders. He might be one that has already been in the system. In that case, contact the police and see what they have to say about it.
