Nope. To understand how popular Michael Jackson and his album, Thriller were back then, you really need to look at figures. They will show you how far off Justin and Usher and all of today's artists are from having sales like MJ did back then. It is also why critics pan Michael when he "ONLY" sells 6 million or so for his 2001 album, Invincible. Justin and Usher and today's artists would kill for those sales. However, Michael is in class by himself, so people hold his music sales to higher expectations.

No he won't be. Not that JT is not really popular, but he will never be the King of Pop. Look how many records Michael Jackson has sold...like waaay more. Justin is not that well-known, my little sister didn't even know who he was until last week! He only been around since...NStink? MJ has been around for 40 years since the Jackson 5 and EARNED his title.

As much as I like Justin, I think he's hugely talented, Michael Jackson was just a phenomenon in his day. When he's gone, he'll be legendary (he kinda already is), despite the weird/sad turn his life took later in his career. Not too many artists today have the stuff of legend.

I used to love Michael with a passion, but then he became a little weird for my liking. However I do think in his younger days he was the most talented musician, artist and performer around. I also think that our Justin has a very similar kind of style in his lyrics and his moves so yes maybe he will be.
