i remember watching it 10 years ago as a child, and now i was watching it with my baby cousin. theres only one presenter and no studio!

Magic background!!! I seen one of them sitting on what was (i think)supposed to be a lily pad floating!!!

Good question - i take it you mean the "broom cupboard". I remember when Andy Crane presented from it, followed by Andy Peters,,,, Those were the days of proper cartoons and entertainment!!
Perhaps it was turned back into a broom cupboard coz health and safety decided it was dangerous to breathe in toxic cleaning fluids??? :)
