How about a gift card to her favorite restaurant or treat her to a massage, manicure, or pedicure at a nice salon....something that she wouldn't normally do for herself.

You should get her something that she's into. If she's an electronics person, maybe get her an ipod or some other nifty little gadget. If she's into art, get her a print from one of her favorite artists. It all depends on what her interests are. You said you already did the clothes, jewelry, etc. thing and you wanted to do something different. Hmmm...you could do something crazy like take her on a hot air balloon ride or buy her a pet iguana or something. (Man, this is a hard question!) Just get her something that she's into right now. Most women go through phases of really getting into something like the latest fashions or whatever. I'm your mom is going through one of those phases right now. Find out what it is and get her something to go along with it.

Good Luck!!

What about a day to a spa in which she can get pedicure, manicure, facial, massage (in any combination).

Most women would love to be pampered in this way, but few ladies make the time for themselves or would spend the money on themselves in that way...
Make a day of it for her and a friend or relative too! :)

Good luck !:)

Does she need companionship? maybe you could get her a cat, or another type of animal that would keep her company. What type of things is she interested in that keeps her occupied and that she enjoys, If she has grandchildren maybe you could make her a quilt for her bed with all the kids pictures on it. Just a few ideas for you to consider, hope it helps

My husbands' grandmother came in town and stayed with us for five days surrounding her birthday! Luckily, MAZE featuring Frankie Beverly were in town so we took her to the concert, bought her a beautiful bouquet of 57 roses (her age), and got her hair and nails done for the concert. Needless to say she was beside herself!

Be original and be sure it's something she'll like!

Buy her somthing like a weekend away at a spa or some salon gift vouchers. It will be different and she'll love a few days of pamper because all woman do!

I know this may sound a bit, mmm lame...but mother's tend to like this stuff. gather all of the pictures you have of you two together. (start from when you were very young and end with the most recent picture.) create a scrap book....(if you have any female friends they'll be a HUGE help.)

How about paying for her to have a beauty treatment done such as a full body massage and something else. That way she gets pampered and relaxed and will thank you for it.
