Okay--GW did get a 1206 on his SATs--although he was a less than stellar college student. Many college students don't live up to their capabilities. That being said, many less-than-brilliant men are judged great by those making this argument often includesRonald Reagan (my favorite president) Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman. The list of intellectually gifted but ineffectual presidents has Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Herbert Hoover, and Woodrow Wilson. Was Wilson a failure, just because Congress rejected the Versailles treaty?
I believe in the notion that people who think too much can't act and that intellectuals are bound to be impractical, immoral, and too eager to impose their rationalist, radical schemes on the rest of us --(ala WJ Clinton).

Many think it is a marked improvment over such luminaries as:
Jimmy Carter - who made Benedict Arnold look like a hero.
William Clinton - who made Calygula look like a monk.
And of course, honorable mention goes to ...
Edward Kennedy who makes Ted Bundy look like a model of self control and self denial.
(BTW, the notable credit that is missing from all these 'smart' democrats is that NOT ONE achieved an MBA from Harvard...like GW bush did.)
