I can probably guess that that is an expression people used in the fifties. Kind of like a tall glass of water, or I betcha dollars to donuts, kind of era. I´m a good window, I´m a good piece of bread too. So, basically, judging by the fact that I´m not over 30, it is something I would ask my mom what it meant.

That would have been last night. My 9 year old stood right in front of the TV and I asked her nicely to move. She did - about 2 inches so she was STILL in front of the TV. KIDS! LOL

Two days ago when we were watching a movie and my daughter stood right in front of the tv (about 6 inches away). Then I cringed, cause I sounded just like my mom.

LOL just last Sunday.
We had friends come over and grilled out.... We were watching something on TV, and like always my husbands b/f got up and stood right in front of the tv. EVERY one yelled at him and told him that.

When they stood in front of the Super Bowl screen. Don't block the television when it's on, especially during the Super Bowl. Sure, it's stereotypical, but seriously.
