I just changed the oil a few weeks ago and there's the right amount on the dipstick

Turn the ignition key to the "on" position and pump the accelerator/gas pedal six times within ten seconds, the light starts to flash, it means it has reset and you"ll be good for another 3000 miles.

Probably the stupid service interval thing needs to be reset, in some cases the Haynes (or Chilton's) repair manual may list the procedure, but more likely than not a web related search will turn it up, you might try:

If the shop did the oil change, they forgot to reset the service reminder. If you did it at home, you didn't reset the service reminder. There should be a reset sequence in the manual. If you no longer have the manual, ask at the dealer, it's usually pretty simple.
