I have done all the amusement parks in Florida and normal hotels.. I am looking for something family based, new and different. Does anyone have any secrets they would like to share.

** Ok well I have lived on Destin Beach,FL and although it is simply gorgeous there is very little to do there. There are a TON of tourists shops and about 10 EXPENSIVE restaurants along with a few fast food restaurants.. And that's it. The beach is to die for ~ with white fluffy sand and beautiful dunes. But that's it. If you're looking for something like that then it would be perfect for ya! And the tourists ( and TRAFFIC) are BAD till around Oct!

**Sanibel Island. If you are looking for a beach, I suggest Sanibel. It is not a party atmosphere. It is family oriented and fun! So much to do and see there besides the obvious: Beach. LoL. You can also drive to Captiva Island which you can only get to while on Sanibel. Tons of history there, and many different activities to do there!

**Payne's Prairie is a fun day trip or camping trip that I have loved doing with my family since I was little. It is a huge nature preserve where you can camp, hike, bike ride, or ride horses.Very fun. It's in Gainesville,Fl where UF is of course! So you know there's tons to do there!

And last but not least:
**St. Augustine! We went there for our anniversary trip last year and LOVED it! There's not only the interesting history behind it but many different types of fun activities and sights to see/do. The lighthouse, the old fort, Flagler College ( you can get a tour and learn the history behind the town), the downtown square is SO fun! And so much more! Def recommend this place to see, if you haven't already.

Hope this helps! I don't know if you've been to any of these places before but they are def worth seeing!

in my opinion, i think of there would desire to be extra advantageous places to pass, yet once you want to commute in Florida; then i want to advise Cypress Gardens, or adventure Island. they are ofcourse smaller, however the relaxing is eternal for youthful babies. they are risk-free, unexpensive, and relaxing places to pass. adventure Island is a water subject matter park, and Cypress Gardens is like an multi function subject matter park with slightly of each and every thing. i in my opinion think of those places are stable concepts from the adventure I had there whilst i grew to become right into a youthful one as nicely, and my youthful sister nevertheless is going there and is derived back with a extensive smile. i'm not attempting to assert that Disney international isn't the terrific place for everyone's age, yet once you want to pass smaller, and extra convenient; then i could say to boot Disney in Florida, those 2 places have on the threshold of the equivalent quantity of excitement. nonetheless, ofcourse you will desire to verify out the web content. i truly desire you come across a astonishing place to holiday, and those recommendations would desire to probable be an selection for you. This info is from a close-by Floridian.

Long boat Key is really nice.

My favorite place to take my family is St. Augustine. It's historical yet has a lot of activities for families. In fact me and my husband enjoy going there so much that we purchased a beach vacation home.
