There is no reason why cerival scarring would prevent you from having a healthy delivery. I have a pre-cancerous legion and have been cleared from my doctors to plan on a VBAC with my next pregnancy.

I had surgery when I was pregnant for an abnormal smear. My ob/gyn didn't want to delay. He may have mentioned scarring--I don't remember (the 'baby' will be 19 this year), but I do know I went on to have my baby less than six months later with no problems. no C-section necessary.

I forgot to mention you also got some great answers, and they make very valid points.

Congrats on the baby! Hope everything goes well!
Hope this helps!

It totally depends on how pliant the scar tissue is. You won't know until it's time to deliver unless the scarring is fairly thick (and then it won't). Ask the doc if you can do a wait and see. There is no reason, other than the doctor's convenience, that you can't wait to have a c-section until labor to see if you will dialate, IF the scar tissue isn't too thick.

You may not need a c-section but my doc did tell me that when you have any type of procedure done on your cervix it can cause problems with dialation and effacement as it takes longer for our cervixs to soften and open up because of the scar tissue. I would say it will depend on how much scar tissue is there.

your doctor is a professional in this subject, if in doubt ask another doctor or two and go with the flow.
