I think they could add a few more. When I was younger I read the books that took over after Return of the Jedi and they were awesome. Luke and Leah become Jedi masters and build a new academy to train Jedi's. They have new wars and adventures. The possibilities are endless.

I don't think any additions would hurt the franchise. However, George Lucas needs to severely tone down the stupid, childish dance/song numbers. Those scenes ruined the remastered releases (special editions)... and if I see one more character like Jar Jar Binks I'm going to burn down the theater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part of me says yes and another no. I would like to see a film, or even a TV series, about the war between RotS and ANH. It'd be interesting to see how the rebellion came about, and perhaps incorporate Leia and Luke's different upbringings. We know of Luke's being a farmboy, but what of Leia. I'm sure she had a more fascinating upbringing. But I am interested in the time between the Emporer coming to power and Luke joining the Rebels.

Also Darth's journey. There's just so many gaps left open that I want filled.

But there's a part of me that thinks if films were to be made then they'd just be milking the cash-cow. I don't think they'd have the passion of the original trilogy (IV-VI). Episode I & II were too bad to even be mentioned with the original trilogy.

Only if George Lucas is A) not involved; or B)he agrees to have some sort of quality control team not made up of 'yes-men' to veto his stupid ideas and dogdy scipting ('Anny's' virgin birth/Anikin building C3PO/"he slaugtered the younglings!" I ask you?!); and C)he agrees to do some research. Maybe watch the originals to find out what the story was, though he should have done this 10 years ago before he started making episode !

What do you think: If they make any more, and I would like them too if they are done right, maybe the story at least should be written by someone like Micheal A Stackpole or Timothy Zahn who have written some of the best star wars books. They really are very good.

The first plan was to have three trilogies: the "original" one (SW, TESB and ROTJ), one before that and one after that. With all the criticism aimed at Episodes I, II and III, I believe that Lucas got disappointed and announced that there will be no Episodes VII, VIII and IX. But there might be a few spin-off movies, just as the one made after ROTJ, called "The Battle for Endor".

maybe if they brought back the old cast (despite the fact that they're all... you know... a bit old) and toned down the special effects... and George Lucas shouldn't write the screenplay or direct... maybe if he wrote the bones of the story and had a better writer adapt it... like joss whedon... and have Sam Raimi direct... I'd imagine they would do it justice.
that's what they should have done with the prequels, and look how they turned out. maybe one last shot at glory...

but that being said, they ruined the franchise enough with the newer movies... it might not be worth the risk...

No, the original storyline is great, but more movies isn't the answer. George Lucas should make a couple vid games on the New Jedi Order Series, but that's it...

I think they've done enough. Supposedly, they are planning a television series that involves the time period between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.

No, the other 6 are overrated in my opinion already. I find them incredibly dull (only good thing about them is Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, who are great actors in other films, and I don't think they make the films any more interesting or appealing).

NOOOOOOOOO! I like Star Wars, but The Phantom Menace was shite! Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were ok, but they should've left it alone really.

no because there has been to many already. I think that some are quite good, but if they keep making more and more is will become to repetitive, and less interesting. I think that they should leave it as it is.
