I have been using Arbonne's Nutrimin c re9 regime.
The eye cream, eye lift and also serum has reduced my puffy eyes, and dark circles so much.
It's not a home remedy - (I am 39). I am amazed at how much it helps -
Otherwise cut down on salt, drink lots of water
and tea bags, and cucumbers may help.

One of the major causes is congestion. Do you have allergies or a cold? Sometimes you just have congestion and the only symptom may just be puffiness or dark circles.
I have allergies so my eyes constantly have bags under them. As the day goes on, it does get better. Try some of the following: Put cold tea bags over your eyes---there is a chemical in the tea that reduces the swelling....you can also try cucumber slices. I like to take a cool washcloth and place it over my eyes first thing in the morning. You can also purchase an eye mask from most drugstores. It is usually a blue color and you place it in the freezer. In the morning you take it out and place it over your eyes....you will notice a big difference. It is made of plastic and the blue liquid inside freezes.
Lastly TRY not to sleep on your stomach (if you do) and use more then one pillow to elevate your head.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Bags under the eyes can be caused by not sleeping enough, dehydration, drinking too much caffine & alcohol. A good way to help reduce them is to mash up cucumber & lightly tap this on untill absorbed, or gently rub it on from the outer eye to the inner eye. Try drinking more water & getting an early night & cut down on caffine & you should see this would make a vast improvment.

Actually got this from a doctor. :
(1) Sleep with your head slightly elevated to minimize fluid
retention.
(2) Avoid booze and salty foods, which can cause water retention.
(3) If you have allergies, take antihistamines and don't rub your
eyes.
(4) Remove any makeup carefully to avoid getting particles in your
eyes.
(5) To avoid dryness that can lead to irritation and puffiness, use a
moisturizer. If nothing works and this is a chronic condition,
cosmetic surgery may be your only recourse.

A good home remedy is just using warm tea bags on the affected area.

well..the best thing to do is to put some extra good lotion on it like the deep moistirizing cream from Clinique...put it on the tips of your fingers and gently touch it to the outside edge of your eye and bring it inward towards the tear-ducked.. do this twice a day and your eye problem will be gone for good :) hope this helps
